
Claudia Oliveira is President of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council. In this capacity, she produces a yearly job fair in Skid Row with 400 attendees and forty vendors bringing jobs of different skill levels to Los Angeles’ housed and unhoused population. Claudia focuses primarily on shaping DTLA’s micro-economy to support a balance between large and small businesses. She spearheaded the first Downtown Los Angeles Small Business Symposium, a full day of seminars and panels on becoming a city vendor, procurements, contracts, licensing, micro-loans, marketing, and safety. In 2019, she assisted Senator Maria Elena Durazo in passing the “Inclusionary Act” which allows immigrants residing in California to serve on boards and committees. Most recently, Claudia Oliveira became a Coro Fellowship Alumna.
